Joseph Dare (born 17 October 1991),[4] is an Australian rules footballer currently rookie-listed at the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League.

Dare primarily plays as a tallish defender. He hails from Colac, Victoria, and joined the Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup in 2009 at the age of 16, playing 22 games[5] and winning the club's Best and Fairest award.[6]

Although aged only 17 and therefore still eligible for another season of TAC Cup, Dare was recruited as a rookie by the Carlton Football Club with its second round selection in the 2010 AFL rookie draft, (#31 overall).[7] Since 2010, Dare has played exclusively for Carlton's VFL-affiliate, the Northern Bullants.
